About
Twenty years in the room. All in the room.
CyberMint exists because most of what mid-market and SMB companies actually need — a real security leader, an honest AI advisor, a technical partner who doesn't need to be managed — is either priced for Fortune 500 or watered down for the mass market. There's a lot of space in between, and that's where we work.
Where the experience comes from.
CyberMint was founded by a security executive with more than 20 years of experience across enterprise IT and cybersecurity leadership, including CISO- and CIO-level roles. The scope has ranged from greenfield security programs at a $600M enterprise — budget frameworks, org design, team building, policy standing up from nothing — to global information security leadership for a SaaS platform used by Fortune-10 companies, aligning ISO 27001 and SOC 2 with the business priorities of a fast-moving product organization.
Post-acquisition compliance is a specialty: SOC 2 readiness accelerated to within 60 days, ISO 27001 within 90 days, in each case unlocking multi-million-dollar revenue opportunities that had been gated on the report. As Business Information Security Officer for a logistics business unit contributing $10B in annual revenue, the work covered incident response, third-party risk, and the kind of daily executive translation that lets a security program keep pace with a business that moves fast for a living.
Zero-trust architecture implementations — identity-as-the-edge, built on Zscaler, CrowdStrike, and Azure Entra ID — sit alongside data privacy program work, including a GDPR framework that unlocked EU market expansion, and a Data Privacy Officer engagement. And under all of it, direct technical leadership of multinational development teams building custom healthcare applications in HIPAA-regulated environments, including enterprise SQL databases and cloud-connected iOS apps.
Not just office IT.
Earlier in that career came something different — engineering secure embedded systems and real-time motion control software for a high-performance motorsports aerodynamic testing facility. Custom APIs over CAN bus, EtherCAT, and IP networking for secure subsystem communication. Operational leadership of a multimillion-dollar testing facility with hard performance constraints and real-world consequences for getting the timing wrong.
That background shows up in the work today. Security thinking that spans real-time systems, data acquisition, and control engineering — not just servers, laptops, and SaaS dashboards — is unusually useful the moment a client's problem touches OT, IoT, or anything that has to hit a deadline measured in milliseconds. It also translates: an engineer who has debugged a real-time control loop under load knows the difference between a policy that reads well in a document and one that survives contact with production.
